As the width of the legend tag is wholly dependent on its contents, this can cause long text strings to extend beyond the right side of <code>fieldset</code>s. I would add <code>white-space: normal;</code> to the declarations for the <code>span</code> tag which, along with an explicit width, will stop this from happening.
