    Category: Medical

Redesign of the website for Dr Paul Licina, a spinal surgeon based at the Holy Spirit Northside Hospital in Chermside, Brisbane. Dr Licina's previous website was one of a group created by the same company which all had a similar look and features, and didn't give the doctor or his staff the ability to update their content easily.

So the redesign was not only aimed at giving Dr Licina's site its own identity, but also used the ExpressionEngine Content Management System to enable practice staff to update the content of the site themselves, which includes easily adding and updating staff profiles and their profile pictures, links, forms, study notes, as well as integrating the practice's operating list calendar.

John was recommended to reconstruct our out of date website for several reasons, including his experience, professionalism and ability to communicate. His qualifications are also impressive – journalist and computer whiz!

After initially contacting John, he promptly arranged a meeting in which we discussed our specific needs at length. John then provided us with a written proposal to ensure we were on the same page.

During the time John was reconstructing our website, we were moving a business and generally going through significant change. We are very appreciative of the fact that he went about his work in an extremely polite, patient, considerate, efficient and cooperative manner.

As the need arises, we can make changes to our newly constructed site using excellent instructions provided by John. Additionally, should we need assistance; he is reassuringly only a phone call away.

Work on this project began with a site for the Cross Cultural Commission which was eventually subsumed into the ACC site. Their website is powered by the ExpressionEngine Content Management System and this project involved graphic design, CSS/HTML template creation and then integration of the template into the ExpressionEngine Content Management System (CMS) which enables ACC members to update the site themselves – adding content in the form of articles, sermons, news, images and videos; listing congregations around Australia; and making edits to pages whenever required.

This is due to good search engine rankings for keyword phrases relevant to the business with the site currently ranking in the top 20 on Google, and with good placement on other wedding-focused directories.
