Frantastic Cakes

Design of a brochure website for Frantastic Cakes, whose owner, Fran Taylor, has more than 20 years’ experience in baking and decorating cakes developed from her own recipes.

The aim of the site was to promote Fran’s services in her area (Sydney) and since it’s launch in July 2006, the website has received a regular stream of visitors which has resulted in a high level of enquiries. This is due to good search engine rankings for keyword phrases relevant to the business with the site currently ranking in the top 20 on Google, and with good placement on other wedding-focused directories.

The site features a gallery of images of the different cakes available and a basic AJAX shopping cart to make it easy for site visitors to add their choices .

The site was also awarded a Gold Award by the Australian Web Designers Network for September 2006.
