Andersons Window Furnishings
The Brief
Andersons Window Furnishings provide a no-charge in-home consultation and quotation service for window furnishings and associated soft furnishings throughout the Brisbane area. They had a website built on Wordpress which was several years old with a lot of out of date content. They wanted a design and content refresh to help emphasise their unique position in the Brisbane window furnishings market.
The Result
Dean Anderson, the owner, had a lot of content to include on the site but wanted it presented in a way that wouldn't overwhelm the visitor so we came up with an approach that presented small snippets of information together with eye-catching images for those who wanted to scan quickly, but the ability to access more in depth information for each topic for those who wanted to delve deeper.
Processwire was chosen as the CMS for the site due to its user-friendliness and ease of use. The CMS provides 'page builder' type functionality to give content editors maximum flexibility in what content they author, while also making sure it's presented in a way that works for all devices, with an eye on performance.
Andersons also wanted to improve the site's search engine ranking and I partnered with 5Tales to deliver the SEO outcomes.
The Feedback
I am very happy to provide a recommendation for John at Tyssen Design. Our project was unusual I suspect in that there was an inordinate amount of client input which John handled, and diverted where need be, with patience and excellent communication.
